Lanisen is plopped outside the kennel, leaning against the wall next to the door with one knee updrawn. He watches the traffic absently, picking at a hunk of bread.
Aren steps out of the forge closing and locking the door behind him.
Lanisen glances without much interest in the direction of the smithy at the sound, watching, and takes another bite of his bread.
Aren turns from the door, spotting the kennel-boy, he nods, “Evening.”

Lanisen emerges from the kennels in rather a hurry, in hot pursuit of a little yappy harrier dog making a bid for escape. “Noo no no no, get /back/ here!”
Aren comes out of the forge just as the puppy is running away. He quickly gets in front of the dog and catches it as it runs into him.

You stand in the busy Outer Ward of Anvard, full of people seeing to the needs of king and kingdom. There are market stalls along the outer wall, bustling with merchants and shoppers. Grooms work in the stables, tending to the horses there, and you hear the occasional bark of a dog from the kennels. The sounds of hammer hitting iron rings out from the Blacksmith Shop. There are stairs leading to the Gate Towers on the northern and southern corners of the outer curtain. To the west is the Outer Gatehouse, and the road leading into the realm of Archenland, and to the east another gate, leading to Inner Gatehouse, the Inner Ward, and the main section of Anvard.
Lanisen is just emerging from the kennels to the south of the outer ward, shutting the door behind him. He shivers slightly in the rather brisk wind, and turns toward the inner gatehouse, keeping his head down and not making eye contact with any of the servants, commoners, or nobles milling around the area.
Aren steps out of the blacksmith’s shop and looks about. He notices the man coming out of the kennels and watches him closely then walks after him, “Hey aren’t you that murdering villian they let out?”
